I've sent quite a few notes to the CEO of Ruger through this feature on their web site. What I have never done is actually thank him for bringing out guns we, the customers have asked for. I sent one off today doing just that:
First of all I want to thank you to listening to what people want and bringing these guns to market. I have recently bought both a Single Seven and an SP 101 in .327 Fed. Mag. and a .480 Ruger Bisley. And now I see you are bringing out the GP 100 in a .44 Special! I will buy the first one I can get my hands on.
I would like to see a 5" SRH in .480 Ruger like you make in the .454. I would also like a 5" barreled GP 100 in .44 Special and a run of 3,4 and 5" barreled 10mms in the same gun. I would also like to see a light handy carbine offered in the .327 Mag and a SR 1911 in 10mm.
Thank you so much for all the great guns you are adding to the line.
Sincerely,
Dean Daniel

Dean, I have to agree with you. Over the last few years Ruger has made alot of "outside the box" firearms.... and what nice and unique ones they have been 😊

Mr Fifer told me that he reads all these "Ask the CEO" emails. He doesn't reply to many,, but he does read them.

Hoping he remembers my note to him begging for a .41 Vaquero!

I'll have to check this (ash the CEO thing) out. I have a few things rattling around I'd like to eventually see come to fruition.
A 4.75"-5" SRH 480 & 44 is one of'em
Thanks for the info... BigBore44

I would like to see a 6-shot, 4.2 inch Redhawk chambered in 10mm/40s&w.

I've sent notes about a few different guns and most have eventually seen production. So far the only ones that haven't made it are an all stainless 73' rifle clone and matching 12GA SxS for the Cowboy shooters. I bet they'd go nuts for a full set of stainless guns, makes cleanup after shooting in the rain or with extensive BP a bit easier.

I'd also throw a thank you out to Jason, at Lipseys. If you really want to see a new variation, it'd be wise to get him onboard. Just sayin'..

I love that "Tell the CEO" feature but in my opinion Jason C. and Lipseys team are the reason we have a factory produced .480 SBH and will be seeing some more really cool stuff from Ruger. I've watched the attitudes change on here and elsewhere regarding how Ruger is listening to their customers and listening to men like Jason. I watched others say for years that it just wouldn't happen... until it did. Now that we are here I can't wait to see some of the new stuff Lipseys and Ruger are coming together on.
Im betting we won't need to hold breath much longer in regards to some shorter tubes for the 5 shots and since we have the 44 in the GP I'd say we are already having a good year started here.

I've heard of a lot of complaints about the new Bisleys. Both here and on other forums. Having had to return mine left me disappointed that I waited for them to do this for so many years only to end up buying a BFR like I originally figured I would have to do. They are pretty guns, but it seems to me that more R&D was required before releasing the .454 and .480 SBH to the market. Just my opinion.

I don't know about more R & D, but better Quality Control would be a big plus, IMO.
I'd love to see a 4" - 5" Alaskan released in 480 Ruger.
My 7.5" SRH in 480 was finished really well. The SBH, not so much.

A 3.5" to 4.2" 480 Alaskan/Redhawk would tempt me. A same caliber back-up to the 480 BSBH. The snubby current version, not so much, yet..but am trying to wrap my mind around it. Need to get my hands on one and try it I guess. None in the nearby friends n family.

A 5" Toklat (sp) version of the SRH in .480 will instantly get my money. Since I wrote this I have also acquired a 7 1/2" SRH in .480. I am not much interested in the Alaskans but a 5"? Yeah!
