That's also the MSRP on the stainless 4" 357. Once the hype settles down, street price will drop below that.

Based upon the Kodiak backpacker pricing $775-825 seems about right for the Redhawk. I bet the 44 GP will be at least what WC guns are going for.

Well I moseyed into my local pushers today and had to tell them about this new GP-44. they made a call to Lipsey's and realized I was correct about this new GP-44 and got one ordered for me.. WooHoo!!! Lol Now the wait! I told'em flat out that if I start seeing them on Fun broker and for the same cost I was quoted I'm gonna be tempted to cancel with them... No worries, time will tell... Groo here I always though that if the same frame can be had in 44mag, why get a 44 spec? ? Was interested in a Charter arms 3in 44 spec but never found an old one I liked. The GP100 could just trip my trigger. Big bore, low pressure , SS, 3in , Adj sights. Lower noise , muzzle blast, and smaller than an N frame.

That's why I jumped on the list at my local pusher's, to get me one!!!!

You be sure to post a thorough review when it arrives! Sure will.... I hope it comes pretty quick. I've never got into one of these "Special Run" deals and Only know what I read here but, it seems like it can vary quite a bit with how they are dispersed/shipped! !! I'm not even sure if it's a special run or what BUT, I KNOW/KNEW I WANTED ONE IMMEDIATELY after learning of them!!!!! BigBore44 Fingers crossed!

Yeah I would love to see Paul105 give it a wring out and compare it to the 69 after the review he gave the 69.
The ONLY reason I have not bought a S&W 69 yet is that I heard the rumor that this gun could be on the way. I can't wait to try one out. I'm going to buy the first one I come across.

Absolutely! I would love to see Paul105 do a comprehensive review & evaluation of the two side by side, point by point.
