some who know me, may remember... I'm buying ammo, to replace or bolster brass cases I have set a side for each gun ( a decision that stems from me getting older, & having to deal with 1000's of rounds of handloads after my FIL died several years ago... anyway, buying ammo is in some ways more expensive than buying guns ( trying to have 500 rounds for each weapon, maybe 400 factory rounds, & 100 cases ) so I've got the mid summer blaaas... & am feeling like buying a gun... but trying hard to stick to buying ammo... so... I'm wanting to live vicariously through your new purchases to help me stick to my plan... so... wad u by this year

Gee,,, I recently received a 10" Om 357 Flattop. I bought a OM Blackhawk in 41 mag, (short bbl,) won a Ruger LCR in 9mm, and also got a Ruger 77/50 stainless BP rifle. That was about a week & 1/2 ago.
Then there was the 1st production run Ruger American 9mm, a new GP-100 Match Champion, and a 6" GP-100 to go with the Redhawk in 45 Colt that had been cut for moon clips.
That's been my more recent stuff.

Like BigBore44, I've been buying Flattop revolvers.
Will be keeping both barrel lengths of Lipseys 44 Specials. The 45 Colt/acp and 357 Mag/9mm as well.
Reeder built me an octagon Bisley from one of the Lipseys. One will become a Huntington 480 Ruger.
The others can stay in the safe until a base gun is needed.

It kinda boggles my mind that the 480 can be safely done in the smaller mid-frame. I do not doubt ya's, it's just me, after shooting my BSBH(50 oz.) Ouch ! PPP ? Oh yeah.

I'm wanting a 480 Ruger Single Action at Christmas time... to reward me for diligently sticking with my plan to buy ammo this year... but with buying my new 2016 SS Sedan this year... payments were a little more that I had hoped... so I'm thinking about paying off MRS Jeep early with my end of year bonus, to free up my weekly cash, rather than spending it on guns like I usually do... add to that, MRS is due for tires for her Jeep, so squeeking out that 480 from my bonus is looking even tougher... Saw one of the rare 5 shot 480 Super Redhawks on GB today... at $25,000.00... I'll just be happy with my 6 shot 480 Alaskan in double action & dream of that 480 SBH... maybe in March of 2017 ( when I do the one gun show I sell at ) if things go good, I can maybe swing one then... at the rate I've been going on ammo... it'll probably take me about till March of 2017 to get everything I need ( barring any future shortages ) BTW... feel free to post pics of your new toys / tools

Ive bought a couple this year..... 1)870 supermag 2)Winchester Ml 12 project, bulged barrel, broken slide, and busted stock.... cut the barrel down to 18 1/8", built a pistol grip, and handfitted a new NOS slide assembly. 3) Glock 40 10mm 4) Blackhawk flattop 3 screw..... project 5) Blackhawk 30 carbine 3 screw.... more than likely have a 32-20 (.30) cylinder made for it. 6) OM single six flatgate.... project 7) Pattern 1917 Enfield rcvr.... project to be chambered in 500 Kenai. 8) Pattern 1914 Enfield rcvr... project undecided. 9) Stevens 335 SxS.... dented barrels... working on it right now. Barrels cut to 18 3/8" and refiniahing the timber as I write this. 10) British Bulldog 11) Great Western Arms Derringer 38 S&W... project in the works right now. 12)Freedom Arms M83 44 magnum 10" 13) Freedom Arms 475L 7 1/2" 14) Ruger MkI .22

Lost my 1st class med (pilot) last fall so I've sold off some pieces that weren't being shot so I can shoot the ones I love more. Picked up a G43 to replace my 642 I gave to my father in law I really like it and it disappears in an IWB. Also picked up a PSA truck gun. 14.5 inch barrel with a pinned flash hider to get me to 16 inches. It handles real nice.

My plan was for a five shot Bisley and a used SRH this year, but it hasn't happened.
I have spent that much and more on reloading supplies looking forward to November, and I sent my Bisley Hunter to David Clements for a work over this past spring which was money very well spent.
I also traded a G20 into a Redhawk Kodiak. I have actually been having a lot of fun with the Kodiak. I like it a lot more than I thought I would, and as versatile as the Glock was, I just really Don't Miss It At All.
