I needed some 38 Spl. cases to cut back to 1.03 for my German Constabulary revolver so I grabbed my 4 inch, Model 15 and stepped out the basement door. Much to my surprise, and delight, I hit my 85 yard, 8 x 10 inch steel target 5 out of 6 times, offhand.
The Constabulary revolver doesn't shoot that good....at least in my hands!!

Today was BFR range day. I took the new / used 5 round .454 and my recently bought .44 to the range today. This .454 is not bad, not bad at all, I only shot and .45 Colt ammo though, as I have no plans to load .454.
I wasn't sure I'd be happy with the rubber grips, actually I was giving serious thought to sending it to MR for a Bisley grip frame but that's off the table. I was very surprised that I actually prefer the rubber grips to the Bisley / "ivory" grips on my .44. Go figure.
Other than the black front sight which I could not see against my black target (or on a black bear if needed) it shot beautifully. The sight issue was remedied as soon as I got home with a base coat of white then orange nail polish on it.
The W-I-D-E spur hammer on this older model really spoiled me. My .44 with the slim profile hammer is a cost savings I'd have gladly paid more for on the base gun, now I have to spend it anyway :-) An Email went off to MR about buying a hammer as soon as I got home. I hope they'll sell me one.
In the unlikely event I ever feel the need for another SA revolver, Magnum Research has my money.

Took the Striker .308 , T C 300 Whisper , Cricket 22 ,and Single Six out today. Clay bird pieces and rocks 75 to 100 yds. It was just to pretty a day not to shoot.

A Lipsey's Ruger #1 AH 25-06 and a Kimber Montana 308 Win. The fine trigger I tuned on the Kimber made shooting the Ruger, well, not so good. A Jard trigger is on the way.

Nice. I need to try the short Ray Thompson bullet by the looks of it.

Very shortly, when it warms up a little more, I am heading out the back door to shoot my Uberti/Schofield in 44-40, 1872 Open Top in 44 Colt and my Ideal stalking rifle in 8.15 X 46R. I might dig out some others I haven't fired in a while.

I'm down to my last box of Hornady 44-40 WCF 205 grain Cowboy bullets, it's too bad - they shoot pretty good from my Winchester 73! No leading at all, a single pass with a dry cotton flannel patch and the barrel was shiny! Ten shots at 30 yards. Bullet: Hornady 205 gr. FP Cowboy (.427) Powder: IMR Trail Boss 5.1 grs. Primer: Federal 150 Case: Starline 44-40 OAL: 1.570

Once it warms up a little today it's going to be 525's out of the Linebaugh and some mixed in 98's from the 32H&R to prevent flinch developing.

Took the 12 in S & W .460 out today to sight in the Ultradot. That dog kicks and the hands are going to hurt tomorrow! Followed it up with some 22 and 22 mag .

Uberti 1873 Sporting Rifle in 44-40. After about 10 rounds I had to lay 10 more on my 100 yard, steel buffalo target.

I was feeding hay today and a "cooter" was in the grass along side the road when I rode by on the tractor. Tisas US Army 1911-A1 model with 230gr ball ammo, one shot out the right side door and the story was done. Not an epic of any means but at least I got to shoot something without being covered in it.

Ok, most of my life on or around farms and I never heard of a "cooter." Up here in the Ozarks, what do I know that as?
