So it's another IF you could only have one handgun caliber question, which one? 45, 44, 41, 38, 32,? Not limited to one cartridge, or one platform, 45 could include 45 Colt, 45 acp, 44's magnum and special etc. Me I'm hard headed,I'd stick to my 41's, I've had one Ruger Blackhawk since I was 17, (35 years) and now I have more of the Blackhawks plus 3 Rifles. 45's and 38's probably have more options, but.... I like my 41's! Ronnie

.44 for me. With the Special and the mag, too great rounds that can do it all.

My love for the 44 magnum is because of the model 69. Haven't shot a round of 45 colt for a while, in sure I'll be blasting varmints with a 45 colt pretty soon.

As much as I love 44 mag and 475L. The 45 Colt is the best all around Revolver Ctg. IMHO

Tough one. I do like that you can buy 44s off the shelf that are loaded light to heavy if you're in a pinch, and in fact I've been getting back into the 44. But as versatile as the 44 is, it's going to have to be the 45. Casull, Colt, and ACP in one revolver is especially tough to argue against.

For revolvers I am locked into 44. I am pretty new to revolvers, but have been shooting 1911's for over 30 years. If I had known a couple years ago what I know now I would have locked in to 45 cal revolvers.

45 would be my choice. I like most of the choices, but based on how I've voted over the years with my wallet, 45's lead the pack, with .500's close behind. Tim

45 for me, between the ACP, Colt, and Casull I'd be set for life.

I'm so vested and 38/357, that it would be foolish for me to try to get out of it. As far as Mississippi goes, 357 will handle anything I may come across with the exception of the occasional black bear. But you can't do anything to those anyway even if they're mauling you… LOL

But I sure am thankful we don't have to make that choice…

Except for rimfires all the revolvers I shoot are 45s.
