Last year I acquired an Alan Harton built OM Single Six in 41 Special from Bushog. A few years back I picked up brass from Dixie in the hope that one day I'd have a chance to get one of these guns. I found a couple hundred 225 gr lead bullets at a reloading shop in Tulsa that I hadn't been to in the past. Nice place, Jerrry's Reloading. Knowledgeable folks, knew what a 41 Special was as well as a 500 Max! Also had some old steel Lyman 41 S&W dies that worked fine, even crimped ok without having to shorten the die. Anyway, with the holidays behind us, I loaded up a handful of rounds using Trail Boss and went out back and hit an 8" round plate five out of five at 25 yards. For me, that's good since my vision ain't what it once was! Thanks Dixie for the original brass, Fowler for the targets and Greg for the gun! Shoots like a baby 44 Special. Tim

That is beyond beautiful...
If you have not heard, Starline made another run of .41 Special brass...

Always liked that gun, the idea of a Single Six 41sp is intreaging for sure. Glad the steel targets hold up to that blaster, though it will do more than you think I'd bet. Perfect feild gun I'd say...

I got to handle a Single Six converted to 41 special recently as well. That little Single Six is a perfect feeling gun in my opinion. I want to have one made into 357 with a 5.5" barrel. To me that would be a perfect packin pistol.

Yes it is. I'd like to have a chance to buy one like that, myself. I have said it before, but it's very special, congrats.

Thanks guys! Robb, it is a hoot to shoot! My goal is to load up some more ammo this week. Bob, I did stock up this last month on more brass Fromm Starline. I think I have enough for several lifetimes with these mild loads. Tim

I saw that revolver over the holidays and the picture does not do it justice. It is a beautiful revolver that shows Alan's skill. Any one that owns it, would be proud.

Have seen several of these Single-Six .41 Special conversions before...have never however seen anything on the recommended load limit for these guns... I know one my be judicious in what runs for velocity but was wondering what the you guys who have then are running for bullets and velocity...
