Have seen several of these Single-Six .41 Special conversions before...have never however seen anything on the recommended load limit for these guns... I know one my be judicious in what runs for velocity but was wondering what the you guys who have then are running for bullets and velocity... Bob Bob, I'm running 6.5-7.0 grains of unique with a 200-215 grain bullet, if I remember correctly Alan said he used 6.5 grains of Unique for his load, but said he did not think 7.0 grains would be a problem. 41 Rem, I don't have any digital scales accurate enough to get a good weight. I'm guessing the guys down at the post office might not want me to waltz in and borrow theirs either! If I find a set of scales somewhere, I'll grab a weight with and without the grip panels. This gun has the extra short grip frame found on the NM 32 Vaquerito so it is somewhat smaller than most Single Sixes, but I'm pretty sure the grip frame is steel.
Don't have one of the midframe conversions. Someone else will have to come up with that weight.
Bushog - is the ejector rod housing aluminum or steel? Did you ever weigh it?

Just weighed my 4.25" 97/.41 with a digital fish scale and it was 40oz. even...but since all fisherman are commensurate liars I have no doubt any scale labeled "fish scale" also lies to the heavy side...just like pink bathroom scales seem to come up on the "lite" side... Bob
