Just watched "Rugers Inside and Out" on the Sportsman's Channel. Episode was all Ruger Single Actions. Showed the new five shot Bisleys and had a great segment with John Taffin.
The best part for me was the show culminated with a handgun hunt using the new 454. A hog was taken with the new gun. A 40 yard shot with an open sighted revolver. Rarely if ever do we see handguns used on the hunting videos. Nice to see!

I wish I got the Sportsman channel. I saw the show coming up,,, but since my "package" doesn't have that channel,,, all I can do is grumble. We don't watch enough TV to warrant the $$$ spent anyway. Adding another channel would just up the bill.

I'm with Contender, not willing to upgrade pkg when I only see 10hrs of TV per week at best. No 3D, 4d,blu-ray, etc.. here. Gotta buy bullets.

We don't even have TV programs coming into the house. $7.99/month for Netflix, and that's it. Steve's right, need any extra funds for bullets!

Thinking about "cutting the cord" as well. But I would like to see that segment, for sure. Any chance to "catch up" with Mr. John Taffin is a lesson in humility and poise.

I meant the show not the gun! I want to watch it, but like others here, choose not to be robbed by tv companies.

I'm sure one of you more computer savvy guys can find a link to this show and post it for all of us.

Cut what cord? 48" flat screen TV in the other room and a set of rabbit ears with one ear having the tip broken off means we get one channel. If it is not on channel 2, no tv in our house.

Someday, Robb. (It may be coming sooner than expected, unbeknownst to the kids) I did cut our cellular bill in half last month, and one of the boys is starting public school next week. So we're working on all the angles.
Cans and lawns, right?

Given the show is essentially a long-form commercial for Ruger products, I don't see why Ruger doesn't simply post the episode on their website. It'd be great to hear Taffin talk about Ruger SA's.
Looking over the "Sportsman's" channel listing I see little other than the Ruger show I would want to watch. I also have a hard time seeing how the word "sportsman" is being used other than ironically; most of the shows appear to be more "lifestyle" television than anything.
As for "cord cutting," my wife and I have over the air TV (we get terrible reception so we never watch it) and streaming video via Netflix. It costs us about 10 bucks a month, on top of what we already pay for internet. I have no desire to watch sports, or be yelled at by talking heads, so I've never seen the attraction of paying for cable television.

I couldn't agree more, we haven't had cable in a very long time.
