I love my 696! but at 36 oz unloaded, it's not a Mountain Gun...

I wish my 625/.45ACP was a plain Mountain Gun. I have the Springfield Armory commemorative with all the embelishments. Still a nice gun though.

Now that we're back on track... Anybody have input about a Smith 325PD? I think Fermin does/did have one of those, I have often thought it might be the perfect Scanium N frame gun. The 45 acp can be run in a full sized 26oz revolver to all the recoil I personally care to manage. It could be just the ticket. Mine broke at the frame where the cylinder threads are....

I have a SS S&W Mountain Gun in 45 Colt... What gunsmiths would you recommend to work on the cylinder and make it work with 45acp in moon clips??? Can I just send the cylinder??? Thanks guys.....

I had mine done at www.tkcustom.com They did a fine job with a quick turnaround. But.... my Mt. Gun doesn't like cast lead ACP type bullets. They start to tumble at 25yds. I tried 3 diameters with same results. Jacketed bullets seem to do better. YMMV
