EGW is my go too for 1911 firing pin stops. Wilson Combat also makes good stuff. This is a very miss understood part in the 1911. Quality and tolerences are important. Now some body needs to make good quality firing pin stops for Hi-Power's.......

I have a 7mm-08 built on a Remington Mountain Rifle also. No#3 Schnider bbl. cut to 23 inches. Love the caliber! Favorite deer load is a old one that seems to work in most 7mm-08 rifle including Ruger No.1's. Nosler 140 Ballistic Tip over Max load listed of IMR4350, Federal 210M primer. This would be my statrting load for 7mm-08 Imp. Maybe look at some slightly slower powders. By the way, all Ackley Rounds are good choices if you actually shoot them. For me, less to no case trimming is the best thing! My .223 Ackley gets my 40gr. Blitz Kings to 3980fps. It's like a 22-250 with 10 grains less powder. The key is a gunsmith that understands how to cut the chamber and set up the headspace for a Ackley Cartridge.

I have them in .45 Colt and .44 Mag. both 20in. Blued guns. .44Mag. is set up with a RDS to deer hunt with. Nice light and handy guns. I would jump on another at a reasonable price. Recently got a in-stock email from a dealer about a couple blue 20in. models that came in. 357Mag. guns, i wanted one, but not bad enough to pay 926.95 for it before taxes, shipping and transfer fees. But all of them sold!

Alright guys, I have for the last 35yrs. of loading used 2400 for Lead Bullets and H110/W296 for Jacketed Bullets. I recently cut some .44Mag. cases down to load Hornady's 225gr.FTX bullet to shoot thru a Rossi Carbine and loaded them with Lil'Gun powder. Load shot well, cases were fairly clean out of the chamber. Overall satisfied. My question is this, what do you guys think about Lil'Gun as a replacemnt powder in the .44Mag. with 200gr. bullets and up in revolvers? Does it work as well as H110/W296?

Ramped barrel? I have had one for about 5 yrs. now. Was still Colt then, but was also typical Colt frame/slide fit. Barrel fit is ok. The gun wants to shoot. Colt barrels have always been pretty good in my opinion.

Axehandle, the slim guns seem to be worse than the standard frame or large frame guns ever where. As a Glock Armorer my self, I have seen alot of odd things with Glocks in 20 plus years, but they are good tools. The tolerence issue that I have seen is the placement of the pin holes. Both front pin and rear pin. Reminds me of the first inexpensive asian 1911's to come into the country, hammer pin and sear pin holes were to far apart. When you installed a good hammer/sear set you would have a gun that emptied a magazine real quick! The Ghost Inc. conectors for the slim frame Glocks do work. buy 3 connectors, install in 3 slim frame guns and be prepared for 3 different trigger pulls

Same height and lenth as a G19. I have Sheild 15rnd mag conversion and a Holosun 507K-G on my G48MOS. All of the slim frame guns seem to have tolerance issues in the frame, hence the lack of quality aftermarket triggers. APEX made one, recalled half of them and has not made anymore. Thinner than a G19, but not really any easier to conceal IWB. Good excuse to buy a gun though......

100rnds. very warm 10mm. 180XTP, R-P nickeld case's, to much AA No.9. Out of a 1911 set up for heavy loads, still throws the brass 15-20 yrds. But at 4 oclock every shot. Bought the brass used just for this purpose.

Okay guys, I think my Lee Auto Prime is finally wore out after 35 years of use. I bought a Lee Auto Prime 2 when they came out and I was kinda underwhelmed. I am looking for a new tool. I know that the big name loading company's all make thier version of the Auto-Prime, but I see so many mixed reviews. The Frankford Arsenal Platinum Series is interesting and seems well thought out. BTW, I use my hand tool for rifle reloading, both large and small primers. .22Hornet to .458Lott. What are you guys using?
