Man what a gorgeous gun. / Wow, you weren't kidding, that's just stunning! I'll never understand the 9mm in a full sized Government Model 1911, but.... it doesn't mean I can't appreciate the effort and the finished product. Gorgeuos!

Full size 9mm 1911? Because it fits my hand just like the other 1911s at my house.

A steel 9mm Government is almost as fun as a .22. Ahhh, okay, making some sense to me now. I'm not against full sized 9mms at all - I'm a big fan of the Browning P-35/Hi Power myself. I suppose having an identical understudy in 9mm makes sense, though. Certainly cheaper to shoot.

If he added a Hi Power cut to that slide I wouldn’t complain. Wonderful work.

Today's gun show score. Full rail TRP including Inforce light (which is a solid "meh") for under $1K.

I just stumbled into one of the pre CDP guns that Kjmbet built to test the waters for the fully melted style carry guns from the custom shop. I had a CDP Ultra years ago and let it slip away do when I saw this gun I decided to chase it down. Hopefully it will be here by the time I get back from elk hunting.
Apparently Kimber made a run of 1200 of these and labeled them Elite Carry. Once it gets here I will probably switch it to a single safety instead of the ambi safety.
