I finally found some LP primers at the Ft Worth Gun Show this weekend. 6K WLP for about $300. (Plus an $8 entry fee and $20 gas money) I can shoot again! Gonna back down my loads and work back up since I did most of my development with CCI LP, but hey, that's half the fun, right?
I also bought a 1911 8 round mag for $10 - who want to bet I wasted my $10?

Indeed - now is the time to call and order some more! By the time you run out again, surely the backorder will come through.
I have about 4,000 LP primers left ... a good many on backorder with Graf's.

105*! You hit that nail on the head Flatlander. We moved my daughter to Del Rio last week and when we pulling in on Wed. night it was still in the 90's with the next days high at the wonderful number of 105*. It didn't cool down much while we where there but it sure beat the 113* in Phoenix on our flight home. One thing I have to say about Texas, it has the friendliest people of any state we went through. I got excited seeing all the raised shooting blinds and feeders but unfortunatley I didn't see a single whitetail. Plenty of elk, deer, sheep 'yotes etc in the other states on the trip but nothing in TX. I DID learn that once you step off the pavement, everything wants to either sting you, stick you or bite you! I'm still digging cactus fuzz out of my hands!

I've "enjoyed" the heat in Texas many times, basic training in the Air Force at San Antonio, aircraft school in Wichita Falls & then 4 years up & down the flight line at Sherman, Texas. I'm not a hot weather person, it really kicked my Pelosi ;D Kings6, you're right about the friendly people, I've always said us northern folks are rude you have to get use to Texas people, they like to stop & visit, very refreshing Dick

I just wish I would have had more time. I wanted to head up towards Boerne (sp) and Bandera but not enough time. Shoot, I went through the Houston area flying home and didn't even have enough time to go visit Alan Harton and see my TLA #5 I've never got to touch yet!

Did the police stop you in Del Rio? I have only been there twice, but both times involved the police. Thank God I wasn't driving. Acuna is fun. The Corona Club has been a scene in the movies Desperado and El Mariachi. Damn...just realized that it's been a decade since I went down there. That kinda thing creeps up on you.

I only saw the police on the streets twice during the 4 days I was there. As far as Acuna is concerned, you might not find it such a fun place anymore. My son said as AF officers they are not allowed to visit the town due to the drug activity and shootings. A few of his friends didn't heed this and went over awhile ago and went to some club where they had to bribe their way out in order to avoid becoming statistics. In fact, most of the tenents in my sons and daughters complex are either AF, FBI, Drug Enforcement or Border Patrol. I DID see lots of the last group around town and doing road blocks as we left town. Seeing young guys driving Dodge Vipers kind of tells the story of Del Rio/Acuna now.
