Oklahoma deer

Slow season this year on our little place (320 acres). 2 years of drought have definitely taken its toll. But we still managed to kill about a dozen deer. The drought has definitely taken a toll. The top two bucks were young. The bottom buck was the only mature buck taken although we couldnt weigh him since the coyotes found him before we did.

Pretty deer Gary. Hate that y'all weren't able to find the last one sooner. That's a bummer.

Yep, didn't see a lot of deer this year. The drought was a big factor, but the new oil rig just north of our lease didn't help much either. I can't say I got skunked though, I had a nice 7 point in my sights last month but I let him go (he wasn't as even as big as my first buck). I've still got a chance to get one with my bow - but it's not looking too good.

I hunt in Woods County, Oklahoma.

Funny thing... every time I drive home I see deer everywhere!
