My current dig is a Canon SureShot A1000IS 10mp. I consider it a pretty good little camera but I assume one like this is somewhat better no? I read some Amazon reviews that were largely favorable but some felt image quality was not as good as other Panasonic digis. I guess my concern is; is there enough difference to make the jump from what I have to something like this. Are you upgrading to another Pany or something else? Thanks.

I am upgrading to a nikon dslr. Panasonic takes very good pics. Camera and extras are in new condition. I i had wanted another "super zoom camera" I would not hesitate to get another panasonic.

Just bought (cyber monday) a Nikon D3200 and am so far very pleased with it.
I have a Panasonic DMC-TS1 that I use out in the field, that is waterproof and shock proof -- a lesson I learned years ago in the field. This one can take a beating!
