I took delivery of mine two weeks ago for my 3-inch Model 29 and I am exceedingly happy with it. I will post up a photo later on. It makes my Lew Horton a pleasure to carry.

Hey folks, an inexpensive alternative is the Don Hume JIT Slide holster, it's all leather and sells for under $25. It resembles a more stable Texas Yaqui holster and I've carried a Vaquero and Blackhawk in it with great conceal-ability, the #2 size (designed for N frame S&W) is a perfect fit. LD But then we wouldn't be buying from a fellow forum member (who also started this thread). I've got several of Rob's holsters and cartridge slides, and couldn't be more pleased with the quality and value. Thanks, my exact sentiments. Cheap holsters will not stack up to one of these in the least.

Sorry, I'm new to this particular forum and I didn't realize we could start threads to sell our own products. I was just offering an alternative to folks who were on a tight budget. LD

No harm, no foul. I used to buy a lot of cheap holsters, but realized that you get a good one and it can last a lifetime. I still have a nylon Uncle Mike's unit that gets pressed into service fairly regularly (it's the only holster I have that will comfortably house my .50 Alaskan revolver). Plus, doesn't my multiple-thousand dollar custom deserve an equally nice piece of leather to call home? ;D

Agreed, but I've found the JIT Slide to be very comfortable and less of a profile than my expensive Mernickle custom holster.

I have several. My USFA 45 has a hammer that will cut my arm unless I carry it in the Sourdough. The back of that hammer spur is sharp! I also have a Silver Dollar that my 3 inch model 36 J frame rides in. The most comfortable/secure holsters I own.

I just recieved a Simply Rugged Real Man's Belt... Picked up a Cuda holster for my G21 at the same time.. The "Cuda" is virtually a sourdough pancake for a full size auto. Danged nice stuff...

I have one and can attest it is one heck of a holster.
The Don Hume JIT is a decent utility holster but not in the same ball park as this holster. I have a couple and use them from time to time. They do not afford the same protection nor retention as Rob's holster.
