The Sourdough pancake Holster: A superior field and concealment holster for big revolvers. For those of us that carry a full sized gun everyday, this is the way to go. It rides close and comfortably This holster and gun moves with you throughout the day, no dangling floppy rig. Full protection for the gun the holster protects you from the gun as well, how many of you have bashed your elbow on the rear sight or hammer spur? We've built tens of thousands of these, they just flat out work.

Just waiting on having enough funds on hand to order one of these for my OM 357 and a "Silver Dollar" for an old S&W model 40 that I'd like to have on hand a little more often.

I have one and it's very comfortable for hauling around 40+ oz of gun.

Got a few as well. My favorite carry holster by far ! ... and this pic says it all about how good these are in my opinion. This is also my oldest and first Simply Rugged. All have the optional Inside Out Straps for IWB carry.

I have six of Rob's holsters and a number of accessories. Here is my everyday carry sourdough. One of Rob's original hand sewn holsters. It been my constant companion for a number of years. It stays on my pants belt and I'm wearing it right now. Rob's workmanship has steadily improved and is top notch. Here's my most recent acquisition -- it's for a 3 1/2" Freedom Arms M97 45 Colt pictured below the holster. . Paul

I've got a Sourdough with IWB straps for my Smith 28 and 29 and I carry those big frames comfortably all day. I love Robs holsters and The man behind the leather is top notch too. -Paul-

I have never hit an elbow but I have scarred up a couple rifle stocks carrying them on a sling. One of these is in my future.

I like mine for the 4" 629. The inside out loops are very handy when traveling to do "outdoorsy" things, like camp off the grid or hunt elk. While traveling across country, I can wear the gun IWB, then when I get ready to mount a horse or hike, I can swap to OWB. No need to have 2 guns, holsters, etc. Travel light!
Now I just need to get around to ordering a silver dollar for my scandium 337ti S&W J-frame.

Hey folks, an inexpensive alternative is the Don Hume JIT Slide holster, it's all leather and sells for under $25. It resembles a more stable Texas Yaqui holster and I've carried a Vaquero and Blackhawk in it with great conceal-ability, the #2 size (designed for N frame S&W) is a perfect fit. LD

I've got several of Rob's holsters and cartridge slides, and couldn't be more pleased with the quality and value.
