This was started on another thread, about special headstamps honoring people or events. I'll start with one previously mentioned. Made by Starline and sold by Midway USA, to honor the late Elmer Keith. Also from Starline through Midway USA, this one to honor the legendary lawman Bill Jordan. This one was made by Olin (Winchester) but also sold through Midway USA, for the great gun writer Jeff Cooper. Someone who has helped a lot of folks keep shooting those obsolete guns that no one makes ammo for, Dangerous Dave, the Old Western Scrounger. These are on a box of .22 Winchester Automatic cartridges, made in Mexico.

Quality Cartridge has a lot of wildcat rounds with proper headstamp. I like this one for Steve Herrett. The 100th Anniversary of the .30-06 Springfield was in 2006, celebrated by Dakota Arms with this 100-year case. Winchester also celebrated 100 years of the venerable .30-30. More to come.

Midway USA had Starline make some .357 Magnum cases with "vanity" headstamps. If you had a common first name, you could have your very own brass. The cases weren't too popular, and were discontinued before they could get many names.

This is one of my favorites, for Marine Gunnery Sergeant Carlos Hathcock. Talon Manufacturing loaded .308 match ammunition in a tribute to Hathcock. The "PAW" is from the company range in Paw-Paw, Virginia. The box tells the story.

The cases were too popular, and were discontinued before they could get many names. They discontinued them because they were too popular? That's odd. Pretty cool idea, though. That Talon round is really cool, nice score!

I still think we should all go together and get a run sixgunner stamped brass from Starline, somebody in another thread said starline will do it for a 50,000 piece run
