I really like the looks of that one too. The cheekpeice shape is something I haven't seen before. That took a fair amount of work. I have a serious love of old sporter 03's and Mausers.

Golly thats nice. My sporter 03a3 still has the original stock (with very clear stamps), just shortened, and a receiver sight, and a big marbles front blade. i need to shoot it someday.

I put this together on a high number SA action and barrel some time ago, got a stock based on the Griffin and Howe from Richards MicroFit, semi inletted and Lyman 48S. Its a great shooter.

Very nice. While I have custom Mauser's and pre-64's I feel I am lacking not having a Springfield. I do keep my eyes out for a Whelen '03.

I've got this old Springfield hanging out in the safe waiting to be rebored to 35 Whelen and re-stocked. Right now it shoots alright with the military barrel and ancient Bishop stock.

Oregon. Is that one my chance marked RF Sedgley? The front barrel band and front sight look like his handiwork, plus guessing by the straight bolt handle its an early model?

It's not a Sedgley; it doesn't have the markings that Sedgley put on his rifles and that are documented in Michael Petrov's book. I had a Sedgley Mannlicher Springfield for awhile and it had this marking on the barrel:
