What handgun powder makes the most flame? I want to make up a few blanks in .45 or .44 just for show. Which powder(s) can I use to make the most light?

H110 and WW296 give off a pretty good muzzle flash out of my 44

With an actual load H110 is what I have seen the most flame from, especially around sunset. BUT, it may not be an appropriate powder for blanks.

Good Point... Powders like H110, 296, and AA #9 burn best with a heavy bullet and a extra firm crimp...

For blanks, go with 3F.

2400 does a pretty good job.
