After reading Taffin's 44 book cover to cover twice and not discovering any data in it for the 44 American I am going to ask here. I have an original S&W chambered for the old heeled 44 and am thinking that I am going to try shooting it with some blackpowder loads (yes, I did have it looked at and everything is mechanically fine). But the problem is I can't find any load data for it, or for that matter a bullet mould t omake the heeled bullet. Anyone care to maybe offer up a little bit of data or maybe somebody that might have a moul or be willing to part with a bullet or 2 so I can get one made?

Thanks John, I've gotten around to reading that one yet, in your experience with the American did you have any quirks loading it other tha nthe Heeled bullets
