Was given a new game camera that sends the pics to your phone and got it installed yesterday. Already have some pics of a young 8pt last night around 8pm. About the same time, Dee and I were driving home and a young spike buck nearly hit us crossing the road. That was less than a quarter mile away from where the 8 pt was passing through. Add to that the nice drop in temperature this morning and I’m starting to feel that urge.

Finished bringing in all the loose stuff from outside so hurricane Milton won't pick it up and blow it around tomorrow... hoses, potted plants, yard furniture, etc. Took before pics of the house and roof in case we have to file an insurance claim. Praying for extra wind shear to knock Milton down a peg or two.

Tried a new restaurant tonight. Had the best waitress we've ever experienced. She talked me into trying foie gras. Won't ever do that again. Read about it for years. Now I've had it and will never again.

The French tried to one-up Rocky Mountain Oysters. But failed.

Sometimes it pays to get up ridiculously early every morning. Rolled into work under the cloak of darkness, slipped behind my desk, and jumped into the daily early-morning email sort. I hate clutter and I've come to realize that my email accounts are about the only place in life I am actually able to control it to a degree. I go to delete the hoard of promotional mail and find a message from eBay telling me there's an LBT mold on offer. I dutifully click the link, certain that it'll either be something I have absolutely no use for, or it'll be perfect and get bid to the stars...
But what is this? A "Buy It Now" button?? On a mold I could actually use!?!
Click. Click. Thanks, eBay!

I don't know how many airplanes and helicopters I've waived at over the years but none of them ever honk.

My son's 10 year old cat has cost me the price of a nice custom ruger in vet bills this week.
I'm not a cat person. But when it comes to one of my kids pets, I'll do whatever I can.
That model 97 357mag on the links page would be on it's way to Ohio right now if it wasn't for this cat.

The deer have certainly worn a path through this pasture. No cattle or horses in this pasture to help out.

You must be on the east side of the river I assume. I drove through there a few weeks ago and cut over the river and really like looking back to the west from that side.

Yes. The east side is mostly more green than the west side. When you come back I'll send you to watch the grizzlies.
