Got a new contender barrel coming in today! Been checking out 30 Herrett's and 357 Herrett's for awhile now and found a deal from a Silhouette shooter selling his 30 Herrett 10" barrel and 98 pieces of brass formed and shot in this barrel.
Plan on shooting NSBT 125gr and mounting my Burris 2-7 scope on it, it does come with what was described as a "Silhouette rear sight" but I feel I wouldn't be able to do the cartridge/barrel justice with open sights.
Now just to find a 10" forend since I only have super 14 forends and some RCBS dies for it. I see plenty of Hornady on the market, but being a RCBS fan and only having RCBS dies, I'd like to stick to them.
Edit: I got a new page over Axe for once!

A few pictures from our trip and stay at the lodge this week. This is Red's Horse Ranch. The lodge buildings and buck and rail corral from down by the air strip. The Minam River which is just behind where the previous picture was taken from. Some of the lodging options plus the lodge has four rooms upstairs. The wife on the ride in from the Moss Springs Trail head. It took us just under three hours to make the downhill ride into the lodge. One of the many streams we had to cross. The two largest creeks/rivers had wooden bridges the animals could cross but bot locations also had trails down to the river so you could ride across if your animal did not want to cross the wooden pack bridges.

Beautiful pics back, above ! Reminds me of the Bob, east slope. We were backpacking but a couple of pack strings passed us. They were hauling camp gear in ahead of the people that would ride in later, or maybe re-supplying ? They did warn us of a grizzly sow and cubs, which we did see the next day.

Beautiful pics Robb, looks like you had good weather. I can't wait to get back into the Eagle Caps again myself.

I recently found this grazing on the moss patch in the front yard. It looks like something that lost its way from Alabama. I didn't know these would even grow in Oregon!

Much like the Single Action Revolver just only one chamber. Round in the chamber, thumb the hammer back, and pull the clicker!

Perhaps a little Volquartsen LLV today. You guys that like the Ruger 22/45 platform should try one. Quality metal frame in place of Ruger's plastic and Volquartsen's wonder trigger parts. Cheap? Absolutely not! Remember the old "By Once, Cry Once"
