I feel like I should know this but anyhow. I have a NMBH 41 mild custom. On one chamber the cylinder gap goes away and it drags slightly. The other five it seems fine. Any idea what causes it? I put a belt mountain base pin in it. Havent tried it with the factory to see if that may be the culprit.

Something's not "square". I'd remove the cylinder and measure its' length in six places. Inspect the ratchet pad on the cylinder frame.
Yes, the lack of "slop" in the Base Pin is resulting in some drag.

I have put BM base pins in several NMBH's. If the screw is tightened too much, it appears to bend the base pin just enough to cause the situation you describe. Back it off slightly, but still tight enough to hold, and see if that makes a difference.

I backed it off, reseated it and the symptom went away.
