Maybe someone here can help me...
I'm looking for a Colt Model P ( 1840 ) .45 Colt blued cylinder. I just got off the phone with Colt Customer Service after searching their website for this part.
They do not sell cylinders and the best they could offer was two dealer names...
First was Ed Janis of Peacemaker Specialists, who carries the part at $250 and the second was Jack First Gunshop, whose website was seriously lacking any info and will sell you a catalog for $40 because it's not online.
So, my first question...
Is that a good price ( $250 +s/h ) for the cylinder...?
And my second question...
Does anyone know of other sources for Colt cylinders / parts... ?
Thanks in advance...
(BTW...if you have a Gen 3 Model P1840 blued cylinder in .45 Colt for sale, I'm interested !!)

I am accustomed to that being the neighborhood for a Colt part like that, so my eyebrows are not raised.
Is an Italian cylinder an option for you? Pietta and Armi San Marco cylinders are of proper Colt sizes (Uberti’s are not). These are much, much more inexpensive.
