1. Bisley hammer already fit for New Vaq frame.
2. Trigger that is more traditional looking - placed back in the guard.
3. Colt style ejector rod.
4. barred [range indicator] front sight.
Have looked around the Net and want to see what I've overlooked/am ignorant of - before I order or alter anything.
There's nuthin' wrong with the gun as issued. Just sorta want to dude it up, tastefully, of course.
Thanks for advice, options, disagreements, and most opinion short of rude.
Exceptin;, of course, from our blunt-spoken Olde Tyme Sixgunners
It's spelled "Keith", right? ;~`)

You're off to a great start... but I can think of a few things that I like on certain six guns of mine as suggestions...
1) Colt style base pin, or a #5 Belt Mtn base pin, depending on what "look" your going for. 2) Bowen target or rough country rear sight. 3) Some purdy custom grips... fancy walnut, ebony, holy, sambar stag or elk antler or sheep horn!

Only thing I would add is a correctly executed black powder chamfer to the cylinder. They just look right.

Don't know how it's done to take the hump out from behind the trigger. However have seen pictures of such a config. Maybe custome work and not drop in? Power Custom has LOTS of stuff that I'm still sorting thru. Half cocks, Bisley hammers, etc. That's why I posted up, to see what other folks had done, and where/how they got/went.

I like birds heads on SAA-frame-sized, short-bbl'd Sheriff type - hip-pocket guns. The Montado sorta works right out of the box, esp if you remove the ejector rod for light weight. And it's lower hammer is pretty natural to roll back on the way to 'point'. Carried mine in a Rob Leahy Simply rugged hipper.. I'd guess a birdshead on that model would be pretty handy.
One of neatest pf that type gun was owned by a Vegas Casino security guard. Featured in some 60's gun mag. Had an 1860 Colt Army grip frame with a poker hand inlaid on it. It might have trigger-less ALA a slip-hammer, too. But mebbe not. Very short bbl and obviously tailored to man who was experienced in very short range, instant mayhem. The author noted the the gun in the security guy's fancy side carry short holster made a definite statement as to his presence and authority.
Still, a shorty hip-pocket birdshead would be a comforting .45 on some of those unsocial occasions -- snakes or two legs, either one.
