What's with the extra bolt notches in the cylinder? Is that so you can carry six rounds safely with the hammer down between chambers and still have the bolt locking the cylinder? If so, that's really slick.

Nice! If I had the means, I'd have to jump on that.....but I don't. Love the 12 notch cylinder. Wasn't that a Harold Croft thing? I assume we can assume that Croft built this sixgun for Keith.

You cant assume anything in the collectors world, if you cant prove it you dont pay a premium for it... Neat gun though...

Hmmmm.... no direct proof that this was one of Elmers guns. The provenance is hearsay, as far as I'm concerned. Maybe I'm too skeptical for my own good, Elmer admitted that he bought, sold and traded many guns.

I believe the Keith connection, as I've had some of the provenance on that gun confirmed through someone I know, but that doesn't mean anything to anyone other than me. It isn't in writing and won't sell the gun down the road. I'd love to own it, but not for $8K.

I don't think Croft built the guns for Keith. I thought Croft conceived the design, then had R.f. Sedgely do the work. I believe John Taffin covered all this in one of his excellent books

Sedgely did the metal, and Neal Houchins did the stocks, sights, and action work, according to John Taffin in Single Action Sixguns
