This one is for elk hunting here in AZ. Can't see like I used to, so it's going to have to wear a scope for a while. Going with a Burris 1.5 x 4.

Great looking BFR. Now you just have to go out and melt in this heat shooting it here in AZ this time of year. ;D

Gorgeous revolver. Jack does super work. A question: Why 500 JRH, over 500 Linebaugh? Better selection of .500" bullets over the .510" or what? Again, that's a real sharp BFR there.

With the original MR 7.5" barrel (8.25" total length) the Buffalo Bore 440's ran 1,016 FPS on the chronograph and the 425's were at 1,445 FPS. With the barrel now at 6" total, the 440's are going 984 FPS and the 425's at 1,389 FPS. Now it's time to try some loading. From Montana Bullet Works I have 370gr. LFN-GC, 405gr. FN-GC, 440gr. FN-GC, and 450gr. LFN-GC. Lastly, some 500gr. XTP.

I was thinking this was a rechamber from 50 AE to 500 JRH. Very cool... that should make it easier for a guy to get a 500 SA revolver. Wow, the possibilities!

If you are patient and wait you can pick up a 50AE BFR pretty cheap and send it in and get a JRH cylinder and come in cheaper than a factory JRH too.

Very nice...and that's the Huntington grip? Yes, with the grips trimmed up a bunch by Alan Harton to better fit my paws.

I've been wanting to get some of MBW's 370 LFNGCs. I'll be watching to see what you think of them. I have noticed the MBW'S bullets are heavier than advertised. Not a big deal as long as you keep it in mind.
