Let's here it for guys like Lee and Fermin! Chime in if you've received, and more importntly if you've given. The SA lifestyle will only survive if we get the next gen into it and loving it like we do... I do NOT want to be a historical footnote. We owe it to the Keith's and Skelton's, the Linebaughs, Strohs, Clements, Harton's and Bowen's... to carry it and pay it forward. Otherwise the plastic semi-auto guys will take the torch. Browning, Winchester, Remington... the ghosts of Custer, Paton, Roosevelt, Walker, Cody, and the rest of our for-fathers will haunt us forever. It's amazing how much an act of kindness, knowledge or wisdom can echo in the annals of tomorrow... Shout out to 2Dogs for paying it forward tonight. I promise to do the same in the future, to honor and protect our cherished love of the SA revolver... now I have to go and pack my range bag for a crazy morning at the range tomorrow, 45 Colt (of course), 44 mag and 475 Linebaugh will do for now... only so much a man can do in a day... praise be to God.

Hats off to Lee for giving us all a place to go and bless him for herding the cats. His wealth of knowledge is invaluable.
Now for Fermin...I've been helped me out with a few purchases too. I have his Clements #5 in .44 special built on an OM flattop that is the child of those Bisleys everybody has been-a-drooling over.
He also recently helped make the acquaintance of a really nice fellow in LA who sold me his Linebaugh Stainless .500 Vaquero #3.
He is always willing to help. Hopefully I paid it forward this week by turning him onto an auction for something he mentioned wanting a while back..BID FERMIN!
Great folks here.

Fermin is a real peach for sure. Like so many old gruff sour puss guys, underneath that hard crusty exterior there is a soft gooey center! Make note of the fact that outside our specialized forums and groups these customs and even FAs are just not seen. Personally at this point in time I can say that I can count the custom SAs and FAs that are not mine that I have held in my hands on one hand and have fingers left.. That said, when you have the opportunity to get out and let young shooters hold and shoot these things.. Just Do It!! They will be the ones to carry this custom revolver idea into the future..

Fermin pin gauged a couple of cylinders for me to check the throats. Had a nice conversation on the phone discussing my cast bullets I sent along with the cylinders(too much alox) was the diagnosis. Results of his recommendations I thank you again 2dogs ;D

A big shout out here for Lee for hosting the finest place on the internet.
I've had a handful of face to face interactions with people on this forum, and numerous interactions online. The far majority of this crew is absolutely top shelf.
Big thanks to all the contributions here. It has helped shape the shooter I am.

+1 more on the generosity of 2dogs! A few years ago he and I had a nice talk. I wasn't sure he would want to talk that much to a stranger but he did and we had a nice disussion on custom parts. I learned quite a lot in that half hour. Thank you again sir!
I am doing my best to help pay it forward and keep the single action torches lit by bringing my three kids (10, 12 &14) shooting as much as I can. I bring single actions and rifles and they would rather shoot the thumb busters.
