Good eyes Steve. John fit that brass gripframe for me and made the walnut grips. He does rework and reshape the bisley gripframe somewhat to a shape that he feels handles the recoil better. He said if I didn't like the feel I could send it back but it works perfect for my hands. Besides, I figure it would be hard to find someone better qualified to say what a good gripframe shape is on one of these large caliber guns.

I've got some of those serious .475 hunting guns around here somewhere... Bears and buff and such are their specialty.

Late to the party....but ;D Here's the 2 I still have a Linebaugh built stainless and a BFR with Bisley grips. Here's 2 I sold for funding of other projects. First is one I saw a page or so back. made by Night Owl. Next was my FA's

Certainly Forgotten--what the heck. We get like seven pages of photo's and commentary on the 500L, but barely 2 pages for the wonderful 475? Saddens me. If I was forced to choose between the two, it would be an easy one for me, a 475. I love my Linebaugh built stainless .475--think its likely the most accurate gun I own with 420gr LFN's. I love nothing more than setting my 18" steel out at 100 and 200 yards and hearing it ring.
Sorry, I have very few pictures to contribute since the stainless 475 grip frame is off for new shoes and my blued Linebaugh is back in Wyoming presently.
Someone jump start this thread--if you do not have a gun to contribute--go buy one. Or better yet, sell me one--I have seen a few in here I would love to have.
Will
