what an education this provides Lee! Was the barrel band just pressed on? Soldered?

The front sight will be screwed on. We're going to drill through the ramp and band and affix both to the barrel. We'll likely slot and set-screw the blade. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Lee,
I am sure there is a reason for not making the barrel band integral. Please advise if you would.

We usually do integral bands, but since this is a clone we did it like John did back in '84. Namely to make it a separate piece. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Initially we tried silver soldering the blade to the base: We weren’t happy with join however, so dad got pissed and broke out the Syncrowave 250: TIG welding the front assembly: -Lee www.singleactions.com“Building carpal tunnel one round at a time”
