I picked up a Buckeye 32-20/32 Mag a few weeks ago. The gun is in pretty good shape except for the ERH. It has some scratches. I was looking at those offered by Brownell's made by Borchardt. Anybody have any experience with these? The reviews seem to be all over the map so I am leery of ordering one.

No experience with these, but Brownells has an excellent return policy. You can be the first to try it and post your findings here!

I believe those are Story's which are darn fine pieces. I have many.

I can affirm that they are good to go. Just screwed one onto a Single Six 32 mag tonight to replace the aluminum alloy one that was on it, PERFECT fit, even the screw lined up perfectly. The fit is great and the finish is 9/10 compared to a factory Ruger housing, in other words they could have polished it for 5 more minutes before bluing and it would have been 10/10.

I have used several and one had slightly rough machining. All were nicely blued and fit well.I think you can buy them direct from Al Story/Borchardt Rifle Co. too. www.brcrifles.com $25

Just ordered two more I like them so much... I like the look and feel (extra weight) of steel grip frames and ERH's on my Ruger SA revolvers. IMO, SA revolvers are supposed to be all steel. I get the whole weight reduction thing and all, but I guess I'm a purist at heart.

Just ordered another, the last two that came from Brownell's yesterday were better than the first (polish). the extra weight out front is a joy, and all steel revolvers are how it's meant to be.
