Well... I've got a "December Special" 44-40 from USFA and now I've got a "4th Of July Beanfield Rifle" from Mike Bryant! Just picked it up today. Mike mounted the scope and I fired about eight rounds at his new range. Haven't done any fancy load work - just something to zero the scope with! One hundred yard three shot group measured 0.161. Gunsmith: Mike Bryant (Bryant Custom) Action: Stiller TAC 300 Caliber: 7mm Remington Magnum (26 inch barrel) Barrel: Rock Creek Fluted Sendero Contour (1 in 9 twist, 5R rifling)with Satin Black Gun Kote to match receiver (Black Oxide). Timney Left Hand Trigger Bottom Metal: Badger Ordnance M4 Mounts: Stiller Base/Burris Medium 30mm Signature Zee Rings Stock: McMillan Remington Hunter, Olive Drab Paint Pillars with Epoxy Bedding Optics: Leupold VX-3 4.5-14x50mm LR (Boone & Crockett reticle) Bullet: Sierra 168 gr. HPBT Matchking Powder: 61.0 grs. Hodgdon H4831 Primer: Federal 215 Case: Federal LOAL: 3.260 (2.700 Base to Ogive with Stoney Point)

Finally got out to the 200 yard range today. Had a pretty good last group going - then I got anxious, tensed up and blew it! Three shots measured 0.428 and the last one opened it up to 1.58. Time to get away from the target bullets and work up a good hunting load.

Well... I've hit paydirt with this load! ;D A three shot group at 200 yards (0.388 inch). I found out that a firmer hold led to better groups - this ain't no .223 Remington! Bullet: Nosler 160 gr. AccuBond Powder: Alliant Reloader 25 69.0 grs. Primer: Federal 215 Case: Federal LOAL: 3.323 (2.758 Base to Ogive with Stoney Point) Average Velocity: 2995.40 fps ES: 19.98 SD: 8.42 Comments: Bullets seated for 0.020 bullet jump to lands.

Ive shot the lions share of my game animals with a 7mm Mag. Its a wonderful cartridge. Im glad to see there are some real rifle looneys around here besides me! This one is just dandy!! Dont sweat the flyers. They are gonna happen. Very nice rifle and shooting. All the best components will do that for ya!!!
