I try to keep stainless and blue screws for my NM Blackhawks. All the little pieces like the transfer bar, hammer strut and the strut stirrup. Wolf reduced power trigger springs and an assortment of various power hammer springs are necessities at my house. Have one of those rear sights come apart and you'll see a real need to have sight blades and springs, screws, and pins. Hammers, triggers, and even grip frames should be considered and stocked if you have a taste for specific parts in your customs. Basepins and basepin locks are cool things to have if you need them. A 20 penny nail looks like a candidate for a BP substitute but it isn't Never broke a Ruger firing pin but have seen a forum member detail putting in a new one.. And tools... Hollow ground screwdrivers are a must as are a set of pin punches. Something to clamp and control that gosh danged little loading gate spring that holds in the trigger pin comes in real handy. A brass and nylon headed hammer, roll pin puches, and a nice set of jeweler's files too.. A tube of gun grease to hold those little bitty things in place and to slick stuff up a bit.. Picked up a little 4 inch vise at Harbor Freight. Mounted it on a 12 inch long piece of 2x10... OM BHs? More of the same but slightly differennt.

Axehandle, that's a great write up for spare's for the avg. Ruger SA shooters kit. Thanks for taking the time to do it!
If anyone needs any parts for a stock Ruger rear sight for a BH or SBH (new model) let me know as I've got 4 or 5 complete rear sight assemblies (less pins) I can ship to you. Make a note to PM me if you need sight blades, springs, screws or sight body's... I'm almost 100% on Bowen RC rear sights on all my BH and SBH's. Only two left, at $90 a crack though I've been doing them a few at a time. Got two on B/O with Bowen right now that should in late Jul/early Aug, then I'll be 100%, and have a couple more spare rear Ruger factory sight assy's.
FYI, Foxx
