I have a Super Blackhawk, with a 10 1/2" barrel (non-bull) with ramp front sight, that apparently was a special run for IHMSA. The serial number is 83-802XX. The top strap is roll marked with the IHMSA ram logo and the words IHMSA Silhouette and the number 500. The bottom of the grip frame also has the ram and the last three digits of the serial number. I'm assuming there was a run of 500 pieces and mine is number 2XX of that run. Can anyone confirm or shed any light on this firearm....how many made (500?), when they were made, rarity/value, opinions, etc.? I bought it "new in the box" in 1999, I think as some left over inventory in a "warehouse find".

It's worth nothing, I think you should send it to me. ;D

I've seen them go for a grand in excellent or better condition. Those were slick guns. I really miss the IHMSA era.....clanking steel promoted many neat models and cartridges. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Whitworth - I think I'll hang onto it for a while to see if the value increases from nothing, but thanks for the "disposal offer" none-the-less! Lee - Thanks, I feel better already. I agree regarding the neat arms of the era. When I bought the one above, I also bought (from the same source) a (while not a single action) Dan Wesson (Monson) 375 Supermag, 8" vent barrel, blued. Neat gun.

You did really well then. Those 375 SuperMag DW's were neat guns.....not to mention really rare. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"
