This is the first one from Alan. Took a little over a year. Alan is easy to work with and does beautiful work. Alan added this funny looking latch while he had it.

Well done.. A fine expression of individual tastes. As much as we all love them sometimes it is nice to not see just another #5 or Nimrod copy.. That rear sight a S&W J frame sight?

Blue, color case, and some nice custom grips. Doesn't get any better than that to me. And every time I see one of those S&W sights on a Vaquero, my 45 Colt Vaq seems to move closer to a shipping box

The rear sight is a S&W and the front sight is made by Alan.

Front sight looks to be patterned after the TLA #5s ....

Beautifully done. The basepin latch and front sight are nice touches. And I like the cartridge prop....I'm a long time 348 shooter. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Love it ! ... and the grips look fantastic. Just the right amount of figuring in the wood. Very classy set up.

Start mowing lawns and picking up cans, it won't be the last one you have done by Alan!

Tell me more about the purpose/design of that "stepped" front sight.

I LIKE it!
The front sight is stepped for long range holdovers.
We are going to require a shooting report....

I am just really starting down the path of custom single actions. So I let the front sight decision up to Alan. Shoot it? ;D I am still the admiring stage. Love the way it feels and looks. I do hope to get out with it soon.
