Both of my brothers just graduated with doctoral degrees. Knowing this was coming for some time, I purchased a 4" Redhawk in 45 Colt for my brother who has smaller handguns, and a 4" GP100 in 357 for my other brother as his first handgun. Alan Harton helped me out with a black powder chamfer on the cylinders. John Gallagher was nice enough to scrub the factory barrel warnings off. I hand stoned every internal surface. It was slow going, but with the metal smoothed out and wolff springs, they are pretty nice, IMHO. The redhawk wears a sell of Nill-Griffe grips. Rob Leahy was good enough to make a left handed Sour Dough for the GP100. It turned out superb, as Rob has shown me several times in the past. They seemed pretty impressed. Looking forward to our next trip to the range.

Top notch gunsmiths and leather men worked on those guns. Three brothers should be proud of one another.

VERY nice! Few gifts are as meaningful as fine weapons IMO.

Outstanding! And congratulations to both of your brothers.
I have always thought that a SP101 or GP100 would be a cool gift with scrimshawed faux ivory grip inserts.

Hey Bill, I mean brother, I graduated from somewhere one time. I have a PhD also, stands for post hole digger but that's not really important for this conversation They turned out great! Hope they enjoy them, I know you put a lot of thought in those.

Very classy and thoughtful gifts, for sure. They're beautiful.
But, those feet need a pedicure.

But, those feet need a pedicure. I was hoping someone would notice them. It's a tribute to Axe
