Really nice looking BFR. Special order gun, that cost $1800 new. Lots of pics, no reserve auction. [uhttp://www.gunauction.com/buy/11026328/revolvers-for-sale/magnum-research--7e-bfr-factory-special-order-.445-super-mag.as-new!!rl][/url]

He takes really good photos too. I like looking at his listings just for the pics.

Neat gun, just not a combination I would want.

Too much frame for a 1.60" case in my opinion. I really wish MRI would offer a Max length platform. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

We know they are being made.. Reeder does his long Maximum and SuperMag based wildcat revolvers on his own Magnum cylinder frame. I should have some numbers for us any day now..

On the bright side, this would be easy to convert to .444 Marlin.

Axe. I'm not talking customs here. I'd like to see a production Max frame in the current BFR price range. Not a Reeder custom. Now if Gary would sell me serial numbered frames with no other engraving I'd go that route (but we all know that won't happen). -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Reeder has such a hard time getting the cylinder frames he needs himself I couldn't see him selling just frames. My point was that someone is already making the necesssary parts. They just need to make more!

You're missing my point Axe. I'm looking for a stainless Max frame that I can use for my own conversions. An $850 BFR would fill that void nicely. The last thing I want to do is buy a full Reeder custom just to tear it apart. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

I think we are both may be guilty of a little miscomunication. Never meant to suggest that you buy a Reeder to modify. Simply wanted to make the point that the manufacturing capability is in place..

If I had to guess, I'd say there was a "pine tree" near by.

Got ya Axe. I thought you were suggesting I just buy a Reeder custom. And yes Subsonic, Pine Tree definitely casts all of the BFR frames. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

With all the trouble Reeder has gettng good castings from his supplier I wouldn't think it was Pine Tree. One might think it was the size creating the problems but Gary even had trouble getting good cylinder frames for his original #5s..
