If I were to have my favorite sixsmith build a custom am I less likely to get a constriction with a re-bored barrel than with a barrel made from a Douglas or Pac-Nor blank?
I have several built with re-bores and they have no constrictions. Wish I could say so for all the others.

Go Douglas. While the PAC Nor is very good, Douglas has the deeper lands, thus far better for cast bullets. I have quite a few custom barrels and I far prefer Douglas. Your Smith can check for restriction before he puts it on.

With the air gauged barrels available today its pretty hard to get a bad one, unlike the old days. Agree the Douglas barrel is exceptional on a sixgun with cast. Know the difference between Fermin & a feral hog..........there ain't no difference, neither one's got a neck, shoulders are just haired over. And, Fermin could probably hook you just as quick. If they both were mad I'd rather face the hog!
