Anyone here shooting a 32 Mag or 327? I haven't really explored that caliber but interest is growing. Not sure I can love an 8 shot Blackhawk, but who knows? Is this the same frame size as a 357 or smaller? So far I haven't found one locally to examine, so any imput is appreciated. I guess you fellers will tell me to go a little bigger...like 475?

I love 32 mag Ruger Bisleys! They are a blast to shoot and reload for. I held one of the 8 shot blackhawks and I didn't like it very much. It was heavy and I like the Bisley grip WAY better. I have many calibers up to 475 and 500 Linebaugh but the little 32 is a must have if you ask me.

The little Single sixes in 32 H&R are pretty sweet. If money were no object, I'd have a Freedom 97 with three cylinders. 32 H&R, 327 Fed, 32-20 with 4 1/4" barrel and adjustable sights.
Dang, I think I just hurt myself.........

I love the little 32's. Had a custom bisley single six 327 and sold it last year then bought a Freedom Arms 32 mag /327 dual cylinder gun that is back at Bowens now getting the smaller two piece grip frame for one piece ivories and a few other little niceties applied.

Gary reeder converted a 30 carbine Blackhawk 7 1/2 barrel to 327, what a Hoot. 120 grn. RNFT gc. over 13.5 H-110 is so accurate. I am having so much fun with different weight bullets and powder. Everything is accurate.

I think we need a couple pictures of a custom .32 or so. I love this thread as I was just searching this topic last night after curiosity of a 32 build on an old model single six. Can it be done? Anyone have one?

Can't get to my pictures from here but I've got a set of pretty vanilla 32s and 30s. There is the standard Buckeye 32/32-20 convertible, a couple of OM 30 Carbines, a Reeder converted 300 GNR Blackhawk, the 8 shot BH 327, a pair of box stock stainless vaquero style 32s, a Bowen 32 and another 2 or 3 stock 32 single sixes, and last but not least the FA 32... if we're including rifles there is a Marlin 32-20 and a Marlin Cowboy 32.. Then the required set of Contender barrels that really smear the line between the 30 and 32 bore...

I have a 32-20 Vaquero that I really like. Iffin I was to have a custom built I would go for a Single Six or a midframe Blackhawk as the base gun,the fullsize while nice is a tad heavy and bulky considering what your shooting.

I finished this one last fall and it's already seen close to 2,000 rounds. Great little plinker: My favorite load so far is 10.5 of H110 with a 115 grain cast. And don't believe any of that "lacks power" sediment. The 32 H&R Mag has plenty of zap. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

O My, slippery slope alert. The bad news. If your asking about 32s it may be already too late. In single action all I have are single six 32 mags. Ruger is just plain missing the boat here by not offering it in 327. I keep looking for adjustable sights but bringing home fixed sights. All my 327s are in double action but are capble of mild to wild and are such a hoot to shoot. Reloading is the biggest joy in 32s due to the large number of bullet choices. I have never found a favorite load as I never seem to make the same load twice. But they all shoot well. BEWARE 32 disease, last time I counted I had 6 of them.

How do you all think the 327 Federal will fair long term? It doesn't seem to have caught on much. Hopefully it won't end up like the 480 Ruger.

327? I see it holding on. Never a big sales volume cartridge but a useful one. Some say it can match and even best the 32-20. It will never have the history of the 32-20 or hold a place of reverence in the hearts of the old guys who care for things that are old and crusty just like they are..
