I just added this set of high figure claro walnut to my 218 Bee conversion. Thought a picture may be in order: The grips were done by Carl Schultz and I'm really pleased with how they turned out. Matte finish, flat bottoms, and little more width towards the top. -Lee www.singleactions.com

Whit....maybe once you learn how to tame your 500 Max, you can step-up to the wrist-wrenching power of the 218 Bee. Joking aside, it does share one thing with our 500 Maximums.....it loves AA1680 powder. -Lee www.singleactions.com

Looks like the perfect varmit pistol. What type of velocity do you get with the 218 from a handgun? Any problem with case lock-up?

That is really a beautiful piece. Something really fun about shooting both ends of the spectrum. The really big ones and the really small ones.

GREAT LOOKING!!! i loved the 218 bee rifle i had back when, sweet round Thanks. My first centerfire rifle was a 218 Bee my dad built for me on a Martini Cadet. I was 6 at the time and I've never outgrown the round. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

I'll add yet another "GREAT LOOKING REVOLVER"!!!! How is that .218 for noise when shooting? I shoot a S&W 53 .22 Jet and it is LOUD!!! Of course, that's what ear protection is for!!

Thanks. It is pretty loud. Why 11.0 grains of AA1680 with a 46 JSP makes so much noise is beyond me. But it does have a hard "ring" to it. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"
