I discovered a forgotten partial keg of AL-7 & have been looking for any published loads for it in the .44WCF. I've found loads in the Speer # 8 & #9 for it in the .45 Colt. I haven't found any yet for the .44 WCF. Does anyone have a source of data for it in the .44WCF? I know Mike Venturino uses the identical loads for Unique in the .38WCF, .44WCF, & .45 Colt. I kind of hate to interpolate data without solid information to back me up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Frank

I found a couple pounds of AL-7 several years ago. I've used it in my 45 Colts and .357s. I really like it. Wish I could find some more. To answer your question, I've found data for a number of straight walled pistol cartridges, but none for the 44-40s.

I found some AL-7 loads for .44 Special in the Speer Manual No.8. If you think that will help any, I'll be glad to send them to you.

After checking case capacities I realized there was no similarity between the 44 WCF & 44 Special. So, these loads wouldn't be any help.
However, there are 45 Colt loads using AL-7. Want them ??
