I just picked up a custom Ruger Bisley and the trigger pull is way too light for me, something less than 1#. Also I notice the hammer will push off under thumb pressure. Aside from sending it back to a gunsmith who no longer does revolver work, any suggestions?

Hammer push off is a bad thing. I had to send one of my customs back due to that problem. Are the springs installed correctly or does it have a poor boys trigger job done on it? www.gunblast.com/Poorboy.htm~JM~

I popped the grip panels off and the trigger return spring is attached on both legs. Been thinking about replacing it with factory spring. Will that take care of the pushoff? I was figuring the sear would have to be recut or replaced. thanks

The spring won't cure the push off. Either the hammer or trigger will have to be replaced. Is the sear edge of the trigger square, or more like a tiny 45 deg angle?

Before you pay somebody to fix the existing parts check out the price of a Ron Power hammer and trigger set... Just might be cheaper..
