March 8th starts Reeders semi annual hunt in Tenn. Looks like Hamilton Bowen will be in attendance. Plenty of room for whom ever is interested. Detail over on Garys website ;D

Axe just think of all the critical ballistic and terminal performance information you would rob all of us of by not going. You could give us hard blood and guts facts about the difference between a 450 grain .500 slug and a 400 grain .475. Then there is velocity difference and of course the whole cast versus jacketed debate. Thene there is the possible worst case scenario..can a Alabama monkey outrun a Tennessee hog.

You boys are going to rue the day you decided to run me down this path... I might retire any day now and take up hog racing full time!

Back in the mid 90's when I was shooting and working at the local archery shop our Hoyt/Beeman rep went on a archery hog hunt somewhere. When he finally stopped by the shop again 4 months later he showed us what 300 stiches in the calf area of both legs looked like. Said the pig charged and the first limb he jumped for broke and it was too late when he found another.

Hey I was only 45 years old in the mid 90s... Don't think I'm any faster now but the decision to shoot comes a lot sooner..

Shooting wasnt an issue, best I recall the pig had already absorbed 3 arrows and I think a 12 gauge is what finished the fiasco.
