What caliber ya shootin there ? Tight neck 222 which is a 222 Remington with the neck turned to thickness to .006 to fit the special 222 chamber and the brass is NEVER resized . The TN222 holds the world record for the smallest 10 shot group ever shoot at 100 yds .

I used to own a rifle almost identical to that, but mine was built on a 40x action, but same cambering, what barrel did you use?

Can't blame you there, the 40x/XP100 actions have always been known to be stiff out of the box, not to mention that they are usually pretty true from the factory.

222 is one fine cartridge... NBRSA 200 yard heavy varmint world record of 0.108 was set 9/5/76 my my old friend Earl Case... www.benchrest.com/records.htm The rifle was a Remington 40-X in 222 that had been tuned by Earl himself... I don't remember his calling it a TN 222 but there is no doubt it was a tight chambered and necked 222...
