I've seen a few ads on Florida gun trader for "cheap" Colt Pythons that, when investigated, are scams. Anyway if I hear anything I'll let ya'll know. |

Sure doesn't... The African Hunter is $1395 built on your gun. Start with a well used, say $400, Bisley and you've got $1800 in it with no additional options and you haven't paid to ship anything. You know what they say about deals like that. Not saying that it isn't legit but.. Be careful

The pics are small, but it looks to be case hardened. Maybe chemical applied like a Ruger. Did/does Reeder offer case hardening? I don't recall seeing it.

Reeder offers color case hardening. It is pretty good looking, too. He gets 300.00 for his case hardening. the listing claims a 4.5" octagon barrel, Reeder gets 500.00 like Ken and Axe have already pointed out, this deal might be one that's to good to be true. |

On the Florida Gun's link there is a "Verify address" link. When I click it, it shows the IP address as being in San Josea California. I'm not too competent on that kinda stuff, but seems like a Florida boy might have a Florida IP address.

Be careful, Florida Gun Trader is kinda notorious here in Ga for being full of scammers. I have been witness to more than a few Pythons, old N frame S&W's, and Colt SAA's priced way too low for the condition in the pics, later to find out the person was in California or the mid west and want wire transfers or some other weird form of payment.
YMMV, and I am no Reeder expert, but that add raises a few red flags for me.

No, turned out to be complete scams. One guy didnt find out until he sent money. He eventually had the local PD track the folks down and had the perps arrested. Be careful out there. I have gotten to where I only do local deals or deal with known forum people. Never had a problem on any of the major forums.
