I posted some trail cam pics of that last deer . He is not huge but lots of character. Rodger didnt kill anything noteworthy this year. This one disappeared as soon as the hunting pressure turned up. No one laid eyes on him and the pics were from midnight until an hour before daylight.

Western Oklahoma about 4 miles east of the Texas line and 50 miles or so north of I-40. My partner and I bought a small piece of land about 10 years ago. Only 320 acres but we take 15-20 deer a year off of it and bigger ones every year. I am afraid all the oil and gas production activity may have a negative impact but so far all is well.

Ya'll have some good looking deer in Oklahoma! Do you guys take any does off of your place? We find here that we have to take a certain number of does to help the herd. Middle Tennessee actually has more deer than we should.

Usually about 3 to 1. Oklahoma has a moderately liberal bag limit. 6 deer aggregate through all seasons of which only 2 can be bucks. And a 10 day bonus doe that doesnt count towards the aggregate. Non resident can shoot about 6 deer for $280.

The gun buck (in the middle) was with my Steyr 7mag. Thought he was alot bigger. Was watching a big one about 1/2 mile away when this one popped out. Threw the rifle up and he looked like a monster. Funny how 16x at 54 yards makes them grow. The third buck was an archery deer with Rodgers crossbow.
When you coming to OK?

Gary, I really want to make it over there sometime. Right now I'm in a lawsuit with the city, my basement flooded (they were working on it) but they don't want to pay ($30,000) My attorney says we'll win, if we don't I'll be going back to work for a year to refinish my basement, pay $8,000 to the restoration company & another $5,000 or so to my attorney. Right now we are in sunny Arizona but headed home soon. Tell Roger I said hello.

Thanks 45c. That young lady is toughest meanest old sow... ah sweetheart I know. She hits harder than any man I know and will throw a straight right at the drop of a hat. Dont know how Rodger has put up with her for 30 years.
Dick if you get it sorted out throw the 480 in the truck and come on. We have several tree stands that would work great with a 6 gun.
