I am doing an upper build for an AR and I'm trying to find a slick side upper receiver. This upper will be part of a 'light weight' build with a light barrel profile, etc, so I don't need or want a top shelf unit or top shelf cost. This will be a 'truck gun'/knock around gun ultimately.
From what I've seen so far, I'm leaning toward a 9mm upper and putting the DI hole in it myself.....but suggestions are welcomed,....as well as a good source.
Looking for plain Jane and as little bulk as possible as I'm not going to run even a cover on the upper.
Thanks

I actually was looking at the receiver for a 300 blackout build. I was going to mount a low profile block, adjustable gas tube, MOE RIFLE size handguards, and a standard post out front for the dissapator look.
Comparing the cost,.....you can buy the sporticle (which is what gave me the idea to do the 300 as a slick side) and add a new barrel and another chrome bolt for the same cost as parts for a full upper build.
