Is the Ruger bisley hunter model built for heavier loads than the regular Blackhawk?

No. It is a .44 Mag (that is the only caliber offered now) with a 7 1/2-inch barrel with provisions to mount a scope (there is a rib on the barrel). Notice the scallops cut in the rib for scope rings. Here is a picture of mine:

Hey whitworth.... are gonna bigbore that one!?!? hmmmm, a fifty bisley hunter, that would make it a FizHunter instead of a BisHunter I must admit, I've considered the Linebaugh 454 5 shot conversion for my 45 Colt BisHunter but it works real good the way it is. And you know how it it is. If it works don't fix it

...No. It is a .44 Mag (that is the only caliber offered now) ... But that's not the only ones that they have offered. You can still (maybe) find used ones in .45 Colt and .41 mag. Not MINE, but somewhere maybe! ;D

You're right, the .41 and .45 were offered and they are out there. Now, you can only get a .44 -- unfortunately.
