I have a call into Alan to see what he started with that shot so well. I also talked to Stephen Webb who has had it for the last couple of months for some work on his book and he said it shot great with Remington 210 both cast and jacketed. I'll start with some medium 215 cast loads plus some 265 cast and see where the load work goes from there. I don't own a jacket handgun bullet so cast it is. I think I'll even try Lee's Green Dot data and see how I like it.

Dude! Shoot out the window! John Gallagher told me that someone brought him one of the "part sets" and he agreed to put it together.. He said, "Never Again!"

I would but the principal at the the grade school next to the pasture gets his undies in a bundle when I do. I even call them ahead of time when I have the mobile slaughter unit come out so they don't go into lockdown!
Alan kind of said the same thing when he finished this one. Not near as fun as it looks to be.
Does this remind you of any other TLA's Axe? ;D

Okay, I have to confess to clear my soul. When Cubrock shipped this back to me he had it wrapped in so much protective padding it looked like the Michelin Tire man. I mean it had more protective coatings that the presidents daughter at a Harley convention! I also admit to a lightly twisted streak that I try to keep in check. Well today, it got out of its cage for a few minutes. Stephen has been calling and fretting as this thing has made it's way across the country so when it arrive today I could not resist. I opened the box from the bottom, took the gun out of all it's swaddling clothes and checked it out then I set the packing box on the floor and dropped my office chair on it. I crunched the corners pretty good, wadded it up a bit then took a picture and emailed it to Steve with the message that "The gun appears ok at first glance but thank goodness for bubble wrap. Call me. I also left a message along this same line on his phone and I even changed the inflection of my voice to portrait a less than happy demeanor. Luckily Stephen called me before he saw the picture and I could only string him along for a few minutes before I couldn't stand the sound of his heart thumping through the phone line and the sweat sizzling on his brow. I had to 'fess up and you should have heard the relief in his voice. I have to give him credit, he did an excellent job of maintaining his biblical witness throughout the ordeal. Still, a guy has to take advantage of those golden opportunities when they come along. ;D

Very nice Robb! I can only hope the "box-o-parts" that came from you in a round about way come out as well when Alan is done!
