Yes, but I specified a 6.5-inch barrel and mine came from the Precision Center -- right before it became a "production" caliber. But they could be counting it as a 5.5-incher.

From the production manager's mouth, I know that they are shipping more than that every month. They actually consider it a fast starter for a new model.

MR tells me they have shipped 3 non-.50AE conversion .500JRHs. 2 5.5" to gun writers and one 7.5" - I know who owns the 7.5" and I think I know who owns one of the "5.5" that's really 6.5" Spit it out

All I know Whit is that after shooting Jim's, I want one. A 500 JRH BFR is definitely on my 2012 "list". -Lee www.singleactions.comIs Jim 44man over on castboolits? You bet!!

I ain't bought one yet, and have just about talked mysel out of one in order to save for a precision center .45 colt.
I really want a well put together 5 shot SA .45 colt and just can't seem to justify the coin for a custom based on a Ruger. And can't find a used one like I want either. MR will build me one for $1750 with an extra .454 cylinder to boot. Can barely get a used Reeder for that.

Subsonic, my BFR in .500 JRH is one of the most accurate revolvers I have had the pleasure of laying hands on. It's a worthwhile investment as far as I'm concerned. I understand the itch for a 5-shot .45 as well -- I'm having one put together later in the year.
